Hi John, you think you may have been insulted ref non payment. But if the person asking the question was not insulted by asking, or was unaware he was insulting you, you should not feel insulted by his non insult intended question. If he did mean to insult you, you still need not feel insulted because you paid and are therefore in an insult free zone. You should only feel insulted if you have not paid and have been found out which isn't the case. However, who was the person asking the question. Was it the person who collected the money in the first place or an entirely different person who was not aware of the payment made. Because you were out of sight, in your tent, they might not of known to whom they were asking the question of. Now if this were the case he may well feel insulted by you and your response. So now we have a situation where you feel insulted and the other person feels insulted 
. O God I'm never going camping again, I wouldn't like to insult anyone, it's not like me at all.
