Here's my 'review' of the BMF show, (copypasta from my reply to Diddly's post on the C90 club forum...
I spoke to Ed march too, very decent chap. He got them finished and pressed quite literally a day or so before the show. From his account, he's had a lot of grief with certain parties involved in helping with certain aspects of it, and he's put in a lot of his own cash to get it finally ready. Mr. Bogger, I'm sure one will find its way to you very soon, so none of your stabby behaviour, please. :shock:
As for the show; brilliant, stupendous, thrilling, massive, value for money - just some of the words that cannot be used to describe it.
Utter, utter shite. Shocking. Dismal. Tiny. Rip-off. Shadow of its former self. Disappointing. All words that can be used.
£19 (yes, nineteen fupping quid, that's not a mistake) to get in, and about thirty percent of its former size. Took about an hour to walk around, used to take all day and still wouldn't be sure you'd covered everything. I went to try and find a new lid, fewer of the big discount tents there, and lids seemed to be either the real cheapo stuff, or the really expensive stuff - very well discounted, but still way out of my budget. I did pick up a new textile jacket at a really good price, so at least I achieved something. The show seems to have got smaller every year over the past decade or so, missed the last couple, and now not sure I'll bother going again. I used to really look forward to it, but it's pitiful now.
My highlight? Finding a real ale bar selling beer for two quid a pint. 
What's gone wrong? Hard to say. Perhaps the rents on the showgrounds have risen so high that stand prices are equally high, and less people are bothering exhibiting. Perhaps it's simply being organised by idiots, who knows? There certainly seemed far fewer visitors than other years I've gone.
At least the weather was nice, I suppose.
