I do like me 'twist & go' scoots, not had too many in the sub 125 category, just a PCX. I used to get 114mpg all the time but that's being rather heavy handed and also sitting on the motorway with the throttle pinned for half the commute to work. I know Cookie gets 130+ on his one.

V belt drive variators do get a tad 'chattery' as the miles add up and the rollers flatten off, usually only heard when standing next to one and not from the saddle. The running costs can add up if you stick to the service schedule for replacing the belt and rollers but if you go by measuring the belt rather than the specified mileage you can usually get double the lifespan.
