I think a lot is down to price , I paid £1200 for my basically new but 2nd hand bike around 4-1/2 years ago . Iv'e done 35k on it so far with only the rear sprocket carrier bearing fail @ 25k and cost £3 to replace so i'm not complaining . The consumable parts are cheap enough to source but full engines are a bit scarce to find ! :/ ! Mine uses no or very little oil between regular changes , and I could jump on it now with confidence and know it will get me to where I want to go.
I have seen a few now being sold with around 40k plus up to around 70k mark so I think you should nurse that bike back into life to break the 100k barrier ! B) ! perhaps the cheapest option would be to source another cheap full bike to make a decent one , but you would have a full spares back up just incase .
Keep us posted cheers Vk. :) .
