had the carb off and cleaned it every jet clear no muck at all in the carb cleaned the air filter that was ok what I did notice when putting the carb back on the bike that the new choke cable I had fitted last week was keeping the choke partly open on the cable inner was to short hence when screwed up there was not enough slack to allow the choke to fully return to the closed position ,ran the bike up and sounded right but cant take it for a spin till I repair the puncher let you know how I get on tomorrow
