Hi John,
Picked up a 100w Led for £7.99 of the bay. Trouble is you couldn't run it from a 12v source, it really needs a current controlled 36v supply (which I also bought). Also I don't think the 90 could push 100 watts from the generator. I might pop a lower wattage one in the 90 as they are really bright, I have a plan for the dip / high beam issues too.
Anyway the current setup cost me £25, strapped it to a big heatsink and by God its bright (you can feel the heat 6 inches in front of it, burned the workbench with it too). Plan to use it in an old digital projector I was given.
