Hi there , I have the Oxford hot hands which simply Velcro onto the grips and fit them when needed , they are run by an inline fused connection directly onto the battery which is easy to fit just under the seat bin plastics where the tools are kept .
I have had these quite a while and were worth every penny paid @ £60 now ! 
! also used inside bar muffs for extra weather protection , like I say during the hot weather I just whip them off and leave the electrical connections under the seat in the bin which also can be used for a trickle charger if needed during quiet periods .
My next purchase shall be the Oxford bar muffs which also have pocket inserts inside to fit the heated pads into ! 
!
These run along with my ciggy lighter connection also in the seat bin for my satnav .
