Inappropriate or SPAM?

renewed the front brake cable on my 90 bit of apain to fit the handle bar end till I slackened off the throttle and slid it away from the cowling ,once fitted I took it for a spin and noticed that the right hand lock was not as good as the left on inspection I noticed the brake cable was fouling the stop bar so I tied the cable back to the forks I know this is wrong but its the only way to keep it out of the way do the job correctly I will have to reroute the cable now does the cable do up the centre of the stem or up the side of it
