I bought my Buffalo textile jacket secondhand on eBay for about twenty quid, has served me well for many years, but has always leaked in prolonged or very heavy downpours. I've found an unlined waterproof jacket over the top keeps the worst of the water out.

Been meaning to buy a new one for ages, just haven't quite managed it so far. A top banana winter jacket will be the next buy, I think, just to saty warm and dry on the way to the Dragon (and will also keep me similarly warm and dry whilst waiting for AA trucks...).
