That's probably what I'll end up doing then Bogger. Having said that,the pattern ones I fitted before have lasted the best part of 4 years or so. I've just had another thought... I've got a mate with an old AEC Militant mobile crane and I'm sure he uses really heavy grease on that,so if I cadge a bit and wrap a couple of turns of PTFE tape round 'em it should last for ages
