Hi Newt & Dave,

I Will always remember my old man warning me about PCBs in transformer cooling oil. Really nasty stuff. Tends to be in the older installations that have been out of commission for a while and hence the oil unchanged (I believe mineral oil with PCBs got banned in the late 70's or early 80's) nowadays I believe they use vegetable oils with silicone based stabilisers, which are still probably really nasty, but don't accumulate in the food chain.
