Off topic or maybe not so. Soldered a camping nightlight (me and my dog are frightened of the dark) together a while ago. Maplins bits. button cell battery holder with bright white led and a 0-500ohm micro pot. 560 ohm 0.6 w metal film would probably be good. Used it a few times and it runs continuous for about a week. Batteries are a quid for six. On the cooking front. I reckon you need a good dinner after a good day out. Price of food in tourist pubs has gone stupid. Our local is doing surf and turf st 19.95. Absolutely bonkers. For this summer on bike have bought an old small pressure cooker to put on my tiny petrol stove. Trying out a beef curry recipe with Pataks paste tonight. Ready cooked frozen rice from Asda st 1.20 for four servings is a bargain. Regards. Bob.
