Overfilling used to have all sorts of dire warnings about blowing oil seals and ruining engines.
On a car or forged crank motor it causes havoc because the crank webs 'hit' the surface of the oil if you over-fill and it causing frothy oil. Frothy oil in plain bearing engines ruins bearing shells as the bubbles collapse under pressure.
With circular crank webbs like the cub if they touch the oil surface it just causes drag, because you also have all the 'air space' in the casings for the gearbox and clutch it won't cause pressurisation and blow oil seals so long as the breather pipe isn't blocked.
Go mad overfilling and you will start to enter the bore spigot then watch it smoke like a 2 stroke.
