Engine oil level for 110cc motor

I've bought a used Chinese 110 semi auto engine. It's not a Lifan, but it did have the same type of clutch cover with the long dipstick(insert joke here). I have fitted a Honda clutch cover to make life easier with the footpegs and exhaust, but one thing that puzzles me is the oil level. I've read that when the casing is swapped, you must fill with 800ml of oil and then re mark the level on the dipstick. Why is this? Surely the greater oil capacity on the 110 engine is purely due to the clutch cover being larger than the Cub one,so if a standard Honda 90 cover is fitted, then the oil level will be correct to the Honda (short) dipstick. If I am correct,800ml of oil will be overfilling the engine by 50ml,would this do any harm?
