Aye Diesel - you did give me that warning and I am deeply grateful for it, else I would certainly have had a heart attack or at least a fit of apoplexy :)

I have read a little about that mod, I also saw this 109cc Bore-Up Kit for Cub90 which may be a bit more radical than I really want, I would be happier I think with 97cc. But that kit is designed to go together and the cost is not prohibitive. I also thought it might be worth trying a C70 piston and head at maximum standard overbore. I assume that would reduce the compression ratio a bit and so be bit kinder to the bottom end.

But anyway this may all be a bit speculative as I might be happy with just the Lifan 110 with it's 4 speed gearbox and then just get the original c90 engine working in standard trim to keep on the shelf. I can order the 110 engine later this week, just waiting for a checque to clear, and that is the surest way of getting OTR quickly and cheaply.

The C90 is just for town and local journeys so the way I would really like to go is to increase the stroke rather than bore to make the engine a wee bit more torquey but I haven't found a way to do that.
