Thanks for the info Bogger. I will fit the spark as is as well as cutting the end of the cable.
Yes, I did clean both the pilot and the main jet. (all this was new to me). So you can see daylight through the small holes.
I will get back to report when I have installed the iridium spark plug.
Thanks for taking time out to help someone who is on their own and very much in the dark with this all.
