It's the same with everything these days.They all want to make as much money as possible and seem to think putting up prices will do this for them.I recently decided to reduce the cost of my phone/broadband/TV package,which was going to go up to about £50 per month in February,I was with Virgin,so emailed them telling them of my problem.They weren't really interested so I bought a Youview box off Ebay for £127,they are £299 new,they are a good bit of kit by the way,and ordered phone and broad band from EE (new name for Orange) for £30 which included nearly all phone calls.So I called Virgin to cancel their service.Next day I was called by them and they offered me such a good deal I agreed to stay with them.Now I have the lastest Tivo box,twice the broadband speed,and most calls free all for £30 per month.I even sold the Youveiw box and made a small profit after costs.
The moral of the story is tell them that you are leaving and see what they offer.
