I would agree that the Innova is overgeared as standard trying to improve it's mpg rating.

You would be better to replace the gearing for lower rather than higher.

When we went to Belgium, I was Innova mounted whilst my compatriots were on 125 PCX scooters, whilst I could run away on the downhill sections the Innova suffered on the inclines. It would be better to downgear slightly and help maintain a more constant speed.

One complete afternoon on the trip to
Spain was spent in 3rd gear because of the high top gear.
