Thing is Ady, it's the thin end of the wedge.

So insurance relies on pooling the cost and risk across a large number of members, what seems to be happening is computer analysis allows narrower slicing of the pools. Eventually you end up paying for your own individual costs.

Say Saga and Castle take the 50+ market out of the pool, as they do smaller mileages and generally drive safer and have lower accident rates the cost for everybody else goes up.

I'm betting your insurance takes a big hike when you hit 40, reason being this group are usually born again bikers who go out and buy a new Fireblade and kill themselves in a few weekends.

We should have basic 3rd party insurance included in the road tax as non-profit and put a stop on all this ambulance chaser personal injury 6k settlement crap.
