Your engine seizure has really alarmed me Howard. You may have read of my unfortunate Innova engine seizure on our End to End last year when my terrier Little Annie 'forgot to tighten the drain plug' after an oil change in the top north west of Scotland. As reported the motor was freed up at Inverness but was left with a 'tickytackytacky' sound. Performance was the same as was oil consumption.
Enquiries were made at my Honda dealer on prices for a new engine... "Honda don't do them sir, but they do sell parts..." Blackcountry Pete posted details of a second-hand injected motor, maybe I should have bought it...
Seeing that my Innova, despite being shiny and well cared for had covered over 20k and had a ticky engine I figured it was probably not worth a lot. The same Honda dealer had a brand new Innova at an affordable price,,, so I bought it. The new one is a summer bike, the tickytacky one a winter mount.
Until your post I naively thought I could happily ride on for years! Of course your post has changed all that, how long did the ticky take to become a full blown tacka?
