Thats interesting Dave,
Seems Wingy was having a problem with the hidden validation. Did you post successfully after the updates? You might have to check your message actually appeared as the board still appears to have accepted your post, even though validation failed and it binned the message.
Please can anyone who couldn't post before (even though it looked like it had gone through) please make yourselves known?
Hoping I can unpick the code to work out exactly what the problem is with Safari. Might be some weird javascript incompatibility with Apple devices.
Hopefully will be able to sort it out as it seems really effective at killing the spam!
