Of course in many countries vehicles run on 100% ethanol or crop derived fuels.I remember watching a film from Tuvulu where they ran old jeeps and landrover type vehicles on coconut oil.They did not move quickly and they did not move far.
In Brazil they have 100% fuel but very few vehicles can truly run on it and they dont last long.
No ordinary alloy can withstand the corrosive attacks of such oils for long.
To use them will require some very fancy metallurgy.
