Hi. Its really easy to remove, dismantle and clean these carbs. A few tips are. The best carb cleaner ever was an aerosol containing xylene. I don't think you can buy it any more because it damaged the ozone layer. Hammerite thinners (from B&Q therefore not cheap) is pure xylene as is the paintbrush restorer that they sometimes sell in Lidl. Use it outside as the fumes are strong and don't get it on paintwork, plastics etc. I have 1/2 litre in a big glass jar with a lid on that I can drop bits in and swirl them around. I don't put the o rings in. The special big o ring with the extra bit that seals the float bowl swells up in normal use to help it seal. It may be too big to go back into its groove. Leave it to dry out and shrink back for a few hours. If you end up stripping the threads on the carb flange then drill them out and put bolts in. The tickover air screw on the side of the carb has a standard setting. From memory I think its 1 and 3/4 turns open from fully screwed in. Have a look in the maintenance section to check this. My carb has a tiny dimple next to the the screw that the slot in the screw lines up with when correct. Regards. Bob.
