You will all probably bite my head off for this but I had something similar on my C50. I'd taken it to the shop to have new points fitted, no problem there. When it was done they brought it out and it started fine so I set off home with it. After about 15-20 minutes it died and wouldn't start no matter what. There was nothing for it but to push it all the way back to the shop. After a while I tried it again and it started so I got on to drive and again after a few minutes it died. This went on for ages, sort of leap frogging the bike back to the shop. I soon realised that the longer I didn't run the engine the longer it would ride. But as soon as the engine got hot it would die. I detoured to another shop and had them set the points using a strobe light. Tada! That fixed the problem. It seems that when the engine got hot the points were sticking closed. It must have been such a fine adjustment that was needed but in my case it did the job and cured the problem.
