Thanks for your input Dave and Bogger. The steering and helmet locks on the keyless bike I'm interested in are both currently unlocked, so hopefully it will be easy enough to remove one or the other to get a new key made from them.

I had an old c90zz back in the distant past that blew up at 23,000 miles, which is why I thought about the mileage. I understand that the 90zz engine was the lemon in this particular fruit salad though.
