Right, everything is sorted (including putting my new memory foam mattress on my bed so it can plump up over the long weekend away - something to look forward to after four nights on an inflatable mat!), just got to load up and I'm off. Being the big cheating bastard that I am and going in the car, that's a considerably less difficult feat than it would have been if I was on the bike, plus I can worry less about saving space and weight! My very, VERY hot sauce has been packed for the brave and foolhardy to test.
Any of you fine folks who are going out on the bimble on saturday and want a nice safe car boot to lock any valuables in whilst you're away, just ask. 
Rhayader awaits - it's that time of year again!

PS - for those who have never been and are STILL sitting on the fence about whether or not they should go to Rhayader - just do it. I went by myself in 2008 not knowing what to expect, and now have some very close friends as a result. Don't fancy the rideout after all that travel? That's fine - there's always folk who choose to stay behind and lurk around the campsite and pubs. Not a big drinker? Not a problem - there are folks who don't drink a lot as well as those of us who like... well, a few. Looking forward to the weekend immensely - whatever the weather!
