Nearly go knocked off AGAIN yesterday. 
Red jacket, headlight on, wet road, about 20mph riding through the next village……..An elderly woman in a BMW turned right…….. Right in front of me. I just manage to miss her & stay on, recovered my stature, put the bike on the stand. She had stopped, I took photos & told her that I was reporting the incident (it’s the third time it’s happened in the last few years).
She was very apologetic, 
gave me her name, address, kept saying how sorry she was & begged me not to go to the police but I was insistent.
Got to the bike, felt sorry for her 
told her how dangerous she had been, made her promise to get her eyes tested & be very careful in future……….& like a Good Scout let her off. 
Well at my age I could get aggressive cancer like Prof, or even die of a heart attack. What’s the point of worrying when you’re having a good time.
BUT in future I’ll be riding on MAIN BEAM & be wearing HI-VIZ.
