Dropped my phone last week and smashed the screen. It was running android 2,1. My mate had shown me a satnav app from the android market called navfree. It is free and uses offline maps that you download free from their link. They have UK and French maps and a lot of other countries for free. But it needs at least android 2.2. Bought a new phone from fones 4 u £50 as I was entitled to a Vodafone pay as you go upgrade discount. Android 2.3, GPS, decent camera and for the price a good screen.

Downloaded navfree and the UK map and it works fine.

Also there is good photographic stop motion / animation app called clayframes that some of you would enjoy. I been using it a lot and its good.
