Just got round to uploading a few photos after a busy weekend including a fantastic trip down to Coventry Transport Museum.
As you can see, it wasn't so wet as Harry demonstrates by sitting on the dry tarmac of the secure parking area that Klippy very kindly arranged.
Once inside the museum we were amazed that not all the exhibits were sparkling & clean (get your bucket & shammy out John)
This was my favourite though, the Riley Forecar. Ideal for taking the wife out on a Sunday afternoon, getting up to about 30mph - 40mph as you approach the river, and then slamming those brakes on as hard as possible. only kidding folks, it didn't do 30mph.
The place was full of dummies used to show how cars were made....
And how the workers used to spend their leisure time.
Just look how realistic these two are!
We saw the record breaking THRUST, but decided against sampling the thrust experience as we didn't want it to affect our ride home.
This is Ewan McGregor's bike that Harry mentioned and below the only C90 in the building. (spot the mistake)
Other exhibits included hundreds of bikes. My favourite being the 70's chopper and the back to the future DeLorean, before Doc and Marty got their hands on it.
All in all it was a great day with lovely people as usual.
Thanks
