If you defo need a new switch, a C70ZZ one can be adapted, but you'll lose the key lamp facility.

Only the black wire is actually ignition related. Earth it to stop, disconnect to run.. Just like the cdi ignition on a 12 volter.

The ignition system on the 6v 50/70 is great.. Self contained and self-powered on high voltage AC just like the cdi sytem is, and really reliable.

Not like the battery powered setup on a 6v 90.
