Hi Gonzo,

I am not the most experienced in mechanics here, but the fastest 50cc I have seen was an Aprilia RS50 and it would do about 65mph. I should add it was a 'well adjusted' two stroke and most certainly not the norm. It lasted about a month before it nipped up.

If you are riding a 12V C90 (post 1983/4), that sounds a bit slow to me (unless your speedometer is inaccurate). I would expect 50 - 55mph flat out from a well maintained machine.

I think it largely hinges on your figure...
