Being a member of 2CVGB I have yellow bulbs in all my cars, they're readily available at club events including halogen ones. I agree that yellow headlights are so visable probably because they're so rare now even in france. Contrary to general opinion I don't find their light output any different to clear bulbs, it's just different, I've always been able to see where I'm going...
