No spark after restoration

Hi I have a 1978 C70 K3 that I completely restored. The bike was running before I took it apart but now I don't have a spark. I did paint the frame and the engine. Looking at the ignition system I now think that it might have to do with the paint preventing the engine to have a good ground. Anybody had the same problem or any other tips? Thanks
