Hello Dave,i recently had to make an exhaust for my cubbova 125 and was wondering about downtube sizes etc . what i can tell you is an innova exhaust is 22mm outer diameter and the c125 has an even smaller one. A cbf 125 downpipe i recently cut up has a 16.5mm internal diameter which i found quite surprising especially so as the outer tube is pretty big. I also just measured a new 6v c70 exhaust i have and thats 22mm outer, 19mm inner , so?
The little research i have done leads me to the conclusion that too big a downtube robs low end power/torque which is handy on std road bike.
