<g> Well done James, we need to take care of the environment and together we are converting an otherwise waste product into motion, conveying ourselves about the place for free in the process :D

A few words of advice from things I've learned running on contaminated fuel;

- Most serious first; Keep an eye on the oil level, if too much diesel is present it cannot be burnt in the combustion process and will be forced down the side of the piston on and into the crank case thinning the lubrication oil in the process. Ric had a partial seizure due to this and I've experienced mine rising to the level of the dips stick orifice twice now. Definitely one to watch!

- For some reason the mixture of diesel with the petrol produces water as a bi-product I have found this builds up at the bottom the float bowl (water heavier than petrol) and simply turning off the fuel and draining the bowl periodically sorts it, poor starting is sometimes an indication.

- Not knowing the how much diesel is in the batches I get (50 litre drums) and having suffered the "occasional" breakdown in the past whilst running on contam' I now always mix it rouughly 70/30 with regular fresh fuel from my 5l can and since doing this things have been running smoother with no time spent pushing the damned thing O:)

Smokey green Ady ;D
