We are totally devestated......so sad.
It’s with a heavy heart that I inform ye of the passing of our dear friend and fellow passenger Aidan Browne, who was sadly killed in a RTA this morning. The term “life and soul of the party†gets used a lot when referring to people, but for those of us who knew Aidan can honestly say that that is what he truly was. A stalwart of Irish Sidecar racing, Aidan started passengering 15 years ago and quickly showed that he was a natural to the chair. Having raced with many top drivers in this country and across the water Aidan soon took to the roads, competing in TTs with Mick Donavan, Pa Gill and Terry O Reilly and this year Aidan and Mick Donavan were heading to Pikes Peak Hillclimb in USA. Away from the chairs Aidan had a buzz about him that was truly infectious and his love for passing on his knowledge to do with anything was always interesting, if not pointless at times. When I started racing the help and advise Aidan gave me, as he did with everybody, was invaluable and we soon became very close friends, but I’m only one of a very long list of people who loved him. Aidan, you will be missed by us all but none more so then your family, whom you adored and our thoughts and prayers are with them at this time. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
