C90 Club ride from Rivington to Southport.
What a great day. Sunshine & the all following came (hope I’ve got this right):-
Tom Robinson on his SH 300.
Terry on his Norton 500 .
Horobags came with his lovely wife Angela on his SH300.
Russ (Cub Stig) on his 200 Benly.
Harry Notts came all the way from Notts on his Zontes (looks like a very nice bike).
John Worthington age 85 & still going strong on his YBR125.
Mike Craig on his Burgman.
Andy Bird. Sorry Andy, can’t remember which bike you came on.
Bill, Brad & Robert from Bolton came on their immaculate Cubs.
Diddly came all the way from Newcastle on his SH300
Andy Riply on his MSX125.
Johns S on his Sh300 look alike.
Bogger on his immaculate Cub with an exta tank.
Vic from Leeds on his 200 Bergman
And finally JJ on his CM90 (1965) with an exta large tank.
Not forgetting Geoff from Preston on his SH125 (the organiser).
Because there were so many of us Mike suggested the “drop off system†which worked out very well. It was a very nice bimble of about 30 miles on a lot of quiet country lanes, to keep clear of the Sunday traffic but as we were approaching Southport there was a queue of solid traffic for about 3 miles but this was easily passed by filtering. The sunshine had brought all the bikers out so the apron outside the cafe was full of bikes & we met some old faces.
I was surprised about how many people came long distances & I think the Iron Arse award should go to Diddly who travelled down from Newcastle I recon he must have done about 340 miles (well done Chris).

I think the day was a success so it may be worth having another bimble later on in the year I wonder if Diddly will come?
