I'm afraid Rex the C100 as never been about speed rather a leisure run on a sunny day.

Nice looking bike, would be a shame to butcher one just to try and gain a few MPH.
I would do as Bogger suggests and get yourself a honda C90 12v, will also save you messing about with insurance etc.
