Lesson....yes sealant not so good for engine rebuilds is it.
but I was also thinking that after acquiring a C90 that has unknown history, it pays to check the oil filter first before taking the bike out on long runs.

The aluminium blob nutter, not sure where that came from, I guess the muppets who did the rebuild may have chipped a piece out the crankcase somewhere.
