Boggers New Years Eve ride
This New Years Eve ride was a bit depleted as there was only Bogger, Russ, Frank, & me on my SH125.
Bogger came on his Benley 200cc twin; Russ & Frank were on their 500’s. Bogger asked me to lead so as you can imagine I really had to get my knee down to stop them getting bored.
We went up the M6, out of the back of the Forton services, down through the Trough of Bowland to Dunsop Bridge. Then through Slaidburn to Settle. Surprisingly the roads were very clean, no horse muck or residue from farming or frost so the main excitement was trying to keep up a reasonable speed with “Team Bogger†bearing down on me.
The fish & chips at Settle were knock out, then it was off down to Long Preston down the B6478 through Sawley & I was back home for about 2.30pm ready for New Years Eve having done 108 miles since I started out at 9.30am.
A super ride with great company & a fitting end to a very enjoyable years motorcycling.
