C50 jumping out of 2nd gear :(

I've got a 1972 honda c50, I've just got it on the road after doing a frame restoration, but sadly when the engine gets hot and every so often when it's cold, the gearbox starts to jump out of gear, and when it does it won't select anything but 1st, I was just wondering what could be causing this? What sort of job it is to fix?
