Done the Cock of the North meet held in June/July a couple of times. Its like the IOM-road racing where you can get right next to the track.
Most competitors are amateur but often big names go.
The start is exciting as the first corner is only about 100M away so it gets frantic.
Would it be a good Bimble?-You have to pay for entry so favours those who want to spend all day there.
Scarborough is good for a meet-Moors and coast to ride in/out. I don't know if you can ride Oliver's Mount on non race days-probably the actual public road but maybe not the start/finish where the pits are.
