A good while ago I posted asking advice on an Innova I had come across with 80k on the clock. Post courier machine. New tyres,shocks,c/s and otherwise not too bad shape considering. apart for the engine big end collapsing and it had been deemed uneconomical repair.
Just posting to say it's back on the road and good as new. A friend helped me alot with the rebuild,
Never was it so obvious to me how important oil changes are. I could see the way the engine worked as it was explained to me. The last owner had said they had changed the oil religiously every 5000 miles! Blind faith it must have been. The crud had severely restricted the oil flow thus causing it to cave. Similar had happened at 50000
It runs great and really feels like a bigger motorbike. It is a better bike than the Cub.
....I still prefer the Cub.
