Being the sort of person that doesn't throw anything away, I recently came upon my 1976-77 World Motorcycle Catalogue, which I purchased for 95 pence in 1976.
It was interesting thumbing through the pages, many of which had given up from the binding and were falling out almost in protest at being confined to the attic for 30+ years.
My first bike was the Honda 125 featured on the cover below and I remember spending many an hour drooling over the bigger bikes which were always out of my spending budget.
It makes you feel old when you say 'they don't make em like that anymore', but it's true, you certainly wouldn't get anything like the 'Hercules W2000' from Germany (page 5), the Italian 'Cimatti Mini Chic VI' for £154 (page 20) or the 'Cossack 650D' from Russia for just £589.
Sadly the Honda C90 doesn't appear in the book, but there are pictures and details of more than 180 bikes from 10 countries and I thought I'd share it with some of you who are old enough to remember these great 70's bikes.
