Alan, having had theft attempts on bikes before (though I've been fortunate enough never to actually have one nicked), I have some idea of the sinking feeling you must have right now.

However, get another Cub. Don't be put off, and don't let the little bastards win. If we stop doing the things we enjoy just because we're scared of theft, then it's a poor life indeed. Whilst we may have little power against the scrotes of this world, the number of good folk out in the world who WON'T try to feck you over is exponentially greater. Dust yourself off, get another Cub, and come to Rhayader - over that one weekend you'll meet a plethora of folks who will restore your faith in society, believe me. Some of them strange and some of them downright bizarre, but all good lads and lasses.

Buy a ruddy great big chain, and attach the new bike to something immovable if you can.

Don't let the bastards grind you down, mate.
