Due to a previous engagement today (Sunday) was the only day I could make the Matlock bimble,which I was really looking forward to,but as my insurance ran out at midnight yesterday I needed to renew it.I was with Ebike and they wanted Â£110.26 to insure me this time.This included,according to my letter,and email,breakdown cover.I thought this was slightly high and as usual at this time I went to two recommended,for Lifan engine Cubs,insurers to check prices.Both took my details and said they would call me back.They never did so I decided to go with Ebike again and as their web sight was down,and still is,had to phone them up.I was told that they could no longer "bundle" insurance and breakdown cover together.OK I said so how much just to insure my bike "Â£110.26" the man said."But that price included breakdown cover" says I."Sorry" he says "but that's the price".This would mean an increase of 45% on my renewal letter and email price,which out of principle I'm not prepared to pay.So sorry I am forced to jib out of Matlock.
I will not be letting this go and if necessary will go to the insurance ombudsman.#disgusted.
