110cc Lifan Vs Standard C90 Engine

Right so I finally got my hands on a c90 with a lifan 110c engine in it. I have put a suzuki RGV 250 pipe on it and my top speed just hits over 50mph (and shakes like f****ck).

Then my brother in law bought a c90 with standard factory fitted engine and his also does near enough the exact same speed???

Am i pissing in the wind using a 110cc engine and changing the pipe??? (total noob at c90's)
