Hello Leiba and All
Happy New Year
I've been really busy over the last few months either making wedding preparations, doing domestic chores, keeping the race bikes running, or doing a little racing. So I’ve not really been active on any site. So imagine my surprise when I ignored my anti virus which warns me not to go on this site and I find this post...its brilliant and a lovely welcome back.....thank you all for your lovely messages. The wedding went brilliantly and as soon as I get the pics I'll post a couple. It really was a fantastic feeling when we said our vows to each other and made all the work and worrying worth it. You would have been proud of us, we named all the tables at the reception after our bikes and the top table was called....Scruff of course I even managed to get through my speech without looking too much of a fool (I hope). Bowman my best man got everyone laughing when he dug up an old video of me draining the oil from my poorly bike straight onto the floor in a lay by in Scotland.....sorry environmentalists everywhere, I really had no option.
Life should begin to get back to normal soon and I’m hoping to do a little tinkering, which I’ll post on here. As I mentioned I managed to get a little racing done and we bagged first place again at Wittering on Noodle, but the competition wasn’t far behind, so one job will be to improve Noodles acceleration. Big Mig did ok in the Plop Enduro’s, but still has a few teething problems to sort out including fuel starvation and burning oil. So that should keep me busy, but I’ve got some other bits and pieces to do on the road bikes too, like squeezing a little more speed out of Scruff by ignition and carb changes, Fit a Z155HO engine to my Monkey Bike (yes you did here that right) and finishing off a Honda hybrid engine for Poppet, which has an ATC70 4 speed box in C90 cases with a C70 kick start mechanism, 54mm bore (about 113cc) , a high compression piston, a modified C70 big valve head with a Wuyang 125 cam, and a TB heavy duty clutch.
Take care everyone and thank you again for all your lovely messages.
Big Hugs
Cheri and Neil
