We were there for a couple of hours or so, long enough to see some poor unfortunate come off in a corner and get carted off in an ambulance

He was awake and sitting up though so hopefully not too badly hurt.

There were a few different classes of machines raced, including some old classic twin shock bikes. My favourite was an Armstrong which had been fitted with some sort of three cylinder motor. It went like stink, passing everyone on the straights but wasn't very happy about dealing with corners, during which everyone caught it up again.

After the racing had ended we repaired to Skegness for doughnuts, chips, ice-cream and hot chocolate (I'll leave you to guess who had what).
