I recently bought an LED bulb,6w,from ASDA.They were halfprice at £3.50 and its great.(I was going to say brilliant but decided not to).It's equivalent to an 11w tubed type or 50w old fashioned one.Anyway it got me thinking isn't it about time someone managed to improve a cubs headlight with this type of bulb.I might also add I bought two 12v 38 X LED bulbs,from China,but they were almost useless.Just gives out 38 small dots of light.
